More about Ros:
Ros McDonough
OMP Educator Midwife
I have over 25 years of experience as a midwife working in the South Australian public health system.
Over the last fifteen years I’ve been running a community-based antenatal clinic for public health and have particularly enjoyed seeing mums returning for subsequent pregnancies with their growing family.
In 2015 I received my Childbirth and Parent Education certification which recognises my role in educating new parents (individual and group education). I love working with new parents, but now I’m able to teach more practical tools and skills to women and their partners without being limited by time or public funding.
I completed a Masters of Midwifery in 2017, which informed my work as an academic at Flinders University teaching postgraduate midwives about investigations and diagnostics.
I believe it is my role as a midwife to provide women with the best possible care and make sure they are empowered, supported and encouraged to make informed, confident choices about their care. I’m here to help you harness your inner strength and build self-confidence as you journey through pregnancy and early parenting.
