At Hello Baby! Midwifery we’re here for you and your growing family.
We provide pregnancy and newborn/new family care to meet your clinical needs and personal preferences. We’re here to give you the best possible care, answer all of your questions, and support you as you activate and realise your innate strength.
Hello Baby! Midwifery is run by endorsed midwife Ros McDonough. She offers discrete single appointments as well as a complete schedule of visits during pregnancy to six weeks after birth.
Ros is endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority. Her qualifications allow her to provide care that attracts Medicare and private insurance rebates. Ros is also authorised to prescribe medication, request scans and pathology tests, and provide referrals to other health care professionals.
Ros incorporates Optimal Maternal Positioning bodywork into antenatal appointments to increase your comfort during pregnancy and prepare your body for labour and birth. She also helps women (and their partners) resolve lingering or difficult feelings after pregnancy, birth or new parent experience.
Hello Baby! Midwifery is here to help you navigate pregnancy with confidence and support you with the best possible care along the way.
Midwife RN, MMid
Hi, I'm Ros McDonough, and I've been a registered and practicing midwife in South Australia since 1994, working at the Queen Elizabeth and Women’s and Children’s Hospitals in Adelaide. I began my career as a Registered Nurse in 1988. More recently, I received my Childbirth and Parent Education certification (2015) and Masters of Midwifery (2017).
I believe that every woman deserves attentive, evidence-based and informative care and I am delighted to offer these midwifery services to women without the strict time constraints common in the public health system.
I began Hello Baby! Midwifery because I wanted women to be able to access care that matched their needs, rather than just the bare minimum or fragmented, indifferent care.
We always take the time to listen to our clients and make sure they’re really heard – there’s nothing quite like working with a midwife who knows you and has been with you every step of the way.
Women should be enabled by knowledge, choice, support and encouragement to activate and realise their innate strength – this is how we’ll work with you at Hello Baby! Midwifery.
I believe that being a midwife is a privilege. It is a privilege to be used as a resource by other women and their partners; to be a catalyst for their self-growth and a conduit to a life-changing, life-giving experience.
I can’t wait to support you and your family.
that is all about you.
